2008 New York City FIRST Robotics Competition

The New York City Regional is a FIRST Robotics
Competition that will be held between Friday,
April 4 and Sunday, April 6, 2008 at the Jacob
K. Javits Convention Center. The 2008 competition will include
65 FIRST Robotics teams from New York City, the
metropolitan region, and as far away as Michigan
and the United Kingdom! This sports-like event is FREE and open to the public!
The event is a world-class celebration of high school students, engineers, and mentors working smart in science and technology!

Food Policy:
The Javits Center, known for being the world’s marketplace, offers a wide variety of food options, containing its own dual-level food court. There will be a seating section designated for teams behind the pit area, and a public seating section at the venue as well. Vendors will be set-up around the seating section to provide more affordable options for lunch. Food may be brought into the arena.

Career Expo:
New York City / New Jersey FIRST is proud to announce our second annual science and technology career expo! The fair will take place Saturday, April 5, 2008. For a listing of participating universities, companies, and organizations please click here.
Team Social:
New York City is proud to be hosting a Dance Dance Revolution and Guitar Hero tournament during Friday evening's social event. The contest will run from 4pm until 7:30pm, and snacks and drinks will be provided. Contest scores will be tracked by team number; the highest score will be declared the winner.
