City Regional Public Transportation Information
Please keep in mind that the public transportation fare is $2.00. The subways accept MetroCards. Buses accept MetroCards and exact change fares. With MetroCards you can transfer from subway to bus and bus to subway for one fare. MetroCards are available at many local stores or can be purchased at most subway stations. Buses
M34: Runs east/west on 34th Street. Stops on 11th Avenue outside the Javits Center and at Penn Station.
M42: Runs east/west on 42nd street. Stops directly outside the Javits Center and at Grand Central Station.
Port Authority Bus Terminal:
New Jersey Transit and other buses from outside Manhattan arrive at the Port Authority bus terminal at 42nd Street between 8th and 9th Avenues. The M42 bus will bring you from there to the Javits Center or you can walk to the Javits (5 - 10 minutes).

Ferry
The NY Waterway operates a ferry from Port Imperial in Weehawken, NJ. In just 8 minutes the ferry takes you across the Hudson River to 39th Street and 12th Avenue, just one block from the Javits Center. Park at the convenient lot adjacent to the ferry terminal in Weehawken ($7 a day on weekends) and take a ferry which leaves every 20 minutes on weekends. Note that the first ferry on weekends leaves Port Imperial at 8:00am. Ferry service back to NJ is available till 1am. The one-way fare is Adult - $6.00, Child (6 - 12) - $3.00, Senior - $5.25, Child under 6 - FREE.
Directions to the Port Imperial Ferry Terminal in NJ:
From the South: NJ Turnpike to exit 16E, to 495 East to the last exit in NJ. Take exit to JFK BLVD East, turning left onto Baldwin Avenue. Turn left onto Port Imperial BLVD (River Road) follow parking signs on the right after approximately 0.5 mile.
