2008 FRC Remote Kickoff at Polytechnic University

The 2008 FRC Remote Kickoff at Polytechnic University, also known as the starting point for the 2008 FRC season, will be taking place Saturday, January 5, 2008. Polytechnic University will host approximately 30 teams at their Campus Center, Teams will be watching a broadcast presentation hosted on NASA TV or as a webcast streamed from the NASA website. Following the webcast, teams will divide and attend several workshops to prepare them for the build season.

Cancellation in the Event of Inclement Weather:
In the event of adverse weather conditions, please call (718) 260-3383 starting at 6:00am.
Arrangements to pick up your Kit of Parts will be made for Monday, January 7^th if necessary.

In the event of cancellation, teams may watch the webcast from the NASA FIRST Kick-off website. If your local cable TV system carries NASA TV, you can watch the proceedings from the comfort of your own homes. For more information on Digital NASA TV, please click here.

8:30 - 9:30am	Registration, Networking, and Breakfast
9:30 - 10:00am	Welcome and Introduction
10:00 - 11:30am	Downlink of Kickoff from Manchester, NH
11:30 - 12:00pm	Lunch A
12:00 - 3:00pm	Workshops (see below)

Breakfast and Lunch:
Polytechnic University will provide complimentary boxed lunches to all particpants.
Poly's snack bar will be openin the morning for coffee, breakfast, etc.

Workshops:
Below is the schedule for the available workshops at Polytechnic University. Note! The Autodesk Inventor Workshop and the Intro to Programming Workshop will both be offered three separate times.

Team Attendance:

The number of people (students and adults) attending the Kickoff may not exceed the number initially indicated in your registration. Please note, in any case, no more team may bring more than 20 people.
