Be a Team Volunteer
Volunteering with a FIRST team can be one
of the most rewarding experiences of your life. Teams need
mentors and coaches with all different kinds of skill sets
- from graphic designers to engineers to business
people You can be a team coach or mentor, or assist with
fundraising or website design - there are lots of
ways you can help!
FIRST LEGO League
There are more than 230
FIRST LEGO League teams in New York City and New Jersey.
Work a few hours a week with youngsters 9-14 years of age
and their teachers and teacher coaches in a community close
to where you live or work.
FIRST Tech Challenge
This is FIRST’s brand-new, accessible
design challenge for high school students. Share your expertise
and management skills with students and their coaches and
help the FIRST Tech Challenge grow.
FIRST Robotics Competition
There are nearly 100 FIRST
Robotics teams in high schools across New York City
and New Jersey. Spend time during the six week design and
build phase sharing your technical and professional skills
as part of a robot building team in a community where you
live or work.
